Principal's Message

Hello to the Immaculate Conception School parents/guardians,

I hope you and your respective families are keeping well!

It is with great excitement and anticipation that I share this letter as the 2026-27 school year approaches. I would also like to communicate to you some messaging pertaining to the upcoming year, and my excitement for the journey ahead, for another successful school year.

Last year was my first year as ICS Principal and I was continually inspired by the consistent examples of Faith,

Kindness, Grit and Excellence that our students demonstrate. As you are aware, success in school does not happen by accident; It requires strong leadership, dedication from a caring school Staff, supportive families, and I continue to feel blessed and honoured to have the opportunity to witness these elements on display at ICS!

The Immaculate Conception School community is one steeped in the traditions of Catholic education and faith formation, en français! Just like the Road to Emmaus story teaches us, our Faith in Jesus and his presence and accompaniment in our lives is something that we as a Catholic school community promote and foster. Chaque jour, nous allons prier. We'll continue to pray as a school community each and every day at ICS in order to grow our

students' Faith!

With the school year approaching quickly, I have two organizational items to highlight for you:

1. Our 2026-27 classroom teachers will be reaching out to families late next week (September 3rd) to communicate student class placements.

2. Our first Sunday Update (Week At A Glance) for Parents will be emailed to parents on Sunday, September 6th. This will be my primary method of sharing weekly information.

Our amazing ICS Staff and I are very much looking forward to welcoming our students on September 8th and wish you a very safe and happy start to September!

Yours in Catholic Education,

Vôtre dans l'Éducation Catholique,

Mark Dunn, Principal
